BASIL POLEDOURIS
The Music & The Movies

July 22, 2022 @ 8:00pm (Pre-Concert Lecture 7:00PM)

The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall

The debut of the Los Angeles Film Orchestra celebrated the life and legacy of composer, Basil Poledouris, along with the 40th Anniversary of the motion picture Conan: The Barbarian.

In this concert, presented on July 22, 2022 at Walt Disney Concert Hall, we presented a truly spectacular celebration of this remarkable composer and his work, along with a remarkable group of special guests who were friends, colleagues and collaborators of Basil’s.  A program of his music unlike any that has ever been presented.

Maestro Steven Allen Fox and The Los Angeles Film Orchestra were joined by special guest conductors and the SoCal Chorale, led by Choir Maestra Marya Basaraba, in this special tribute to the great Basil Poledouris, produced and hosted by Robert Townson, a longtime friend who worked with Basil on twenty of his albums.
